The Student Council is an elected, representative group of Year 5 to Year 12 students. Together, they work to reflect the interests of their fellow students. This offers students the chance to understand the basics of democracy as it serves as a channel of communication between the student, teachers and the school administration, providing a platform for students to voice their concerns and suggestions on matters that affect them.

It is the Council's duty to set goals that build a stronger GES Cairo community through planning and organising various events and activities that bring the student body together and foster a stronger sense of community.

All students have the opportunity to run for Council and are encouraged to participate in the annual election campaign.
