Secondary Headteacher

After graduating from the American University in Cairo, I started my career in education in 2003 as an EYFS teacher. I worked my way up in the field, often holding simultaneous positions in teaching primary and secondary stages as well as holding administrative positions until I joined Gulf English School Cairo (GES) as the Key Stage Three Deputy Headteacher in 2018. One year later, I was promoted and have held the position of Secondary Headteacher since then. During this time, with the help of an outstanding team of highly qualified teachers, I was able to lead our pupils to gain excellent IGCSE and A level results and have proudly seen many of them get accepted into top universities in Egypt, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States of America. One of the primary goals I have is prioritising the well-being and mental health of our pupils, ensuring that they all feel safe, supported and valued within the school environment. This goes hand in hand with creating a strong school culture that is inclusive, respectful and supportive. Overall, my main focus is providing the best possible education and opportunities for all our pupils while creating a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters learning and growth.
